Damned By the Elite Clothing Company is creating a vision of a future lead by the people. Their media presence thrives on dystopian and futuristic elements. The company has locked onto a dark color palette to allow potential customers feel the gravity of their message.
DBTE has requested subliminal type that is glitched or repetitive. This has allowed me to play with hue and saturation variation to provide a more uniform look on busier designs. I want to communicate the tension that my client wants viewers to feel. Feel uneasy and find a place for change. DBTE is a visionary movement disguised as a clothing company.
Synergy Snowboards is a modern snowboard company that has requested a limited run of snowboards aimed at female snowboarders. I have created a three board run that highlights three Greek goddesses: Athena, Aphrodite, and Artemis. Athena representing power and wisdom, Aphrodite representing love and beauty, and Artemis representing staying wild and untamed. I used color palettes reflective of each goddess and type that is reminiscent of the Parthenon of Ancient Greece. Women that take on the slopes will harness the power within on Synergy Snowboards.
Synergy Snowboards business system is simplistic. I have used cooler colors and basic geometric shapes to mirror the mountains and crisp snow. I wanted a sharp and clean aesthetic for a company that is growing rapidly.
For the Robert Richard Smith Gallery redesign, I had a final metal product in mind. Using clean lines that gradually become further spaced a part will allow for dramatic light reflection. When used on business systems and clothing for employees it is still readable and reflective of a prestigious space to celebrate student artwork.
Leaf No Trace Clothing Company creates hemp-based clothing. I used earth tones and plant centered design. Highlighting reusable/recyclable items is key to the message of my client.
Paw Prints is an in-house work program for students at the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children. The identity I created for this life changing experience takes into account the school mascot, Lavi the Lion, and the school colors, teal and purple. Giving Lavi an identity has given the school community a direction to start in. Creating positive phrases to accompany designs for store clothing continues the message that the school has communicated for 135+ years; "You can do this, your team is behind you."
I've adapted designs to be cohesive for black, white and heather gray clothing. Being a school for the visually impaired, there is great variation in vision lost. This has been important to keep in mind for students that do still see to some extent. Using contrasting lights and darks allows for students and families alike to be apart of WPSBC's message.
Removing rips, imperfections and stains before cleaning up the color and contrast through Adobe Photoshop has returned life to treasured family photos.
